What is the dress code?
1
“Sunday Best” is probably the best way to describe it. Like if you wanted to go to brunch with friends kind of outfit. It’s also Southwest Florida so you probably want to wear something that’s not going to leave you sweating like crazy.
If you need an idea then here’s a pretty good guide for you down below. :)
Can I bring my kid(s)? And/or do I get a plus one?
2
Yes to both!
We ask kindly that you stick to a plus one and not a plus seven. You don’t need to invite your cousins best friends sister. Especially considering we probably don’t know them at all and we’re trying to make this a smaller affair.
(Unless that cousins best friends sister is Dolly Parton… That is the only exception).
Where can I find information on venue, hotel rates, transportation options, etc?
3
Please check out the header at the top of the page and click on “Travel and Stay” for that information! Or just click on the button below.
Will the ceremony/reception space be indoors or outdoors? Additionally, what will the weather be like this time of year?
4
Both ceremony and reception spaces will be outdoors. As for the weather, it’s Southwest Florida so it will be very hot and very humid. We hope it will not be rainy, but it is hurricane season and we can’t predict the weather.
5
What time should I/we arrive at the venue?
Preferably arrive to the venue at least 30 minutes before ceremony starts. Even earlier is encouraged as traffic is a common occurrence in Southwest Florida.
6
Do you have a wedding registry? Do I need to bring a gift?
You do not have to gift us anything! Your presence is more than enough. Especially considering so many of you are traveling from out of state. If you do want to give us something we do have a registry. There is a tab in the header at the top of the page.

Will there be food and drinks available? Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?
Yes of course! There will be appetizers during cocktail hour and a full meal (buffet style) during reception. There will be vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options available. Please just contact us and let us know so we can relay that message to the caterer asap!
Oh and of course a full open bar during cocktail hour and reception.
We will also have some specialty themed cocktails too. :)

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
What is this about Halloween costumes on the RSVP cards you sent alongside the wedding invitations?
Is there any chance you’ll be able to live stream the ceremony for those who can’t make it in person?
If possible please RSVP as soon as you are able to, but we do request we have them in by at least late July. You should have receivede an rsvp card alongside the wedding invitation. You can fill that out and send back. Or you can do it online on this very website in the header above under the RSVP tab. Or by clicking the button below.

Can I take photographs during the ceremony?
You can if you want to after the ceremony! Especially for those of you with young kids. We totally get it, it’s hot and humid and they may not like having to wear fancy clothes all night. Plus this is a party after all! As long as the costume isn’t super inappropriate (not super gory or extremely sexual) no worries here!
What if I have more questions? That weren’t covered by the FAQ?
While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.
Yes, I’ll post a link to the live stream on the homepage the day of. :)
You can always contact us directly! Either by phone number or by email at: johawedding26@gmail.com
That email will be deleted after October 17, 2026. I just created it for organization purposes lol.
